Over 600 million women worldwide are unavailable for paid work due to obligations with family and childcare. PfC holds the opinion that work-family balance is paramount for reaching gender equality and develop a rights-based, inclusive economy with focus on welfare and productivity for women, men, children and families.

The seminar will discuss the importance of maternity protection policies and access to childcare to achieve the SDGs and discuss their implications for the wider work of international development actors, organisations, and governments.
